devonO Sony Expert Helpful Interesting Cool 1 photo		Backstage / Sony Style Login Integration Posted: Sep. 21 Hey everyone, have some news: Because of your input & feedback, beginning Thursday September 24th, we’re finally merging all the usernames across communities. You’ll now be able to access Backstage 101, Digital Darkroom, Sony Style and other Sony communities (VAIO community, Sony Electronics, etc) with one login. I know there will be a lot of questions about this, so I’ve posted quick FAQs for you below with the details. I’m positive you’ll have more questions so definitely let me know them and I’ll answer for you here. Thanks again for your continued support and participation…like I said earlier, changes like this don’t happen without your input! What if I have a Backstage 101 and a Sony Style account? If you have an account on both sites, you will use your Sony Style information to log in. What if I have a Backstage 101 account and a SS account but a different email address for both? If your email addresses are different, or the same, you would use your Sony Style username and password to log in to both sites. When I log into Backstage using my Sony Style info, will my account info be there (profile, images, ect…)? Yes. If you already had a Backstage account set up, your profile information will remain unchanged and will appear. What do I need to do if I do not have a Sony Style account? If you do not have a Sony Style account, you would log in using your Backstage info and this would then create an account with Sony Style. What if I have a Sony Style account and I have forgotten the password or have been locked out by due to too many attempts? If you have forgotten your password you can click on the ‘Forgot Password” link, enter your e-mail address and a temporary one will be sent to you. In the event you are locked out, you would then need to call Customer Service at 877-244-9959 or send an e-mail to customercare@sonystyle.com and they will enable your account and send a temporary password to you. There are also other ways to contact us like through the Sony Style or Sony Electronics blog, Twitter, etc…in the event you need assistance as we want to make sure we are here to help during this transition Was This Post: Helpful (12) Cool (0) Interesting (7)
Moonlight Interesting		Re: Backstage / Sony Style Login Integration Posted: Sep. 24 Well, it's 10:00 AM on the East Coast, and so far, my SonyStyle login (different email address) is not recognized here. As this is a highly anticipated feature, we are doing all we can to get it launched by mid-late afternoon today. I just wanted to make this transition ‘clear as mud’ (grin) and provide you with a couple tips based on questions we’ve gotten about forgotten passwords. 1. If you are a Backstage 101 user and do not have a Sony Style.com account, you can visit http://tinyurl.com/ybdexyo for assistance on resetting your account 2. Click on the ‘Forgot Password’ link. This will direct you to Sony Style.com where you’ll need to register. Once registered, you’d then use your Sony Style account info moving forward when logging into Backstage 101 We hope you’re all just as excited as we are about this change. A big shout out to all of you for being so patient while we work through the bugs and remember, if you have any questions…just ask and I’ll be sure to get back to you.
