Hi sacha…welcome to Backstage 101 as we love to see new people. The HD movies you take are saved in Windows Media format, but you do not lose the HD content. This also applies to burning them, but we do suggest burning to Blu-Ray to obtain the best HD quality. One other thing I’d like to point out is that we also recommend using the included software that came with the camera to insure your HD content is saved as such. The software can be downloaded by entering your model number on our support site at http://esupport.sony.com/. I hope this helps and if you have any other questions, just let me know.

Hi Sake70...Welcome to Backstage 101, we alwasy like to see new faces. I’m sorry to hear your videos are blurry while viewing in slow motion, but hoping I might be able to help. When shooting fast moving objects that you want to view in slow motion, I would try opening the LCD panel and touch HOME > CAMERA > SMTH SLW REC. This will allow you to record fast movements such as a golf or tennis swing that can be viewed and analized in slow motion. These instructions are also on page 37 of the manual that can be found at http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/model-documents.pl?mdl=HDRXR100. I hope this helps and again, welcome to Backstage 101.
